When MinterEllisonRuddWatts (MERW) began designing their new 1400m² Wellington office at BNZ Place, they wanted a future-focused, flexible, and welcoming space that reflected their values of authenticity, collaboration, and sustainability.
Custance selected Kada for the project based on our strong reputation for delivering high-quality workplace solutions. As a supplier of premium international brands alongside our own New Zealand-made products, Kada was the right fit to meet MERW’s design vision, functional needs, and sustainability goals.
For this project, Kada provided our New Zealand-made Elevate sit-to-stand workstations, custom-designed to support a fully open-plan environment while offering flexibility, comfort, and acoustic balance. The Elevate workstations were tailored specifically to the floorplate and work style, helping the team transition smoothly from traditional offices to a more democratic way of working. We also supplied bespoke storage joinery, Framery One pods for private focused work, and Vitra Suita sofas to create inviting client and staff lounge spaces.
The transition to a fully open-plan office was a major shift for MERW. The thoughtful furniture choices made this easier, providing a balance between transparency and privacy while supporting the firm’s strong sense of community and manaakitanga. Kada is proud to have contributed to this landmark project, today, the office is a vibrant and flexible space that the team enjoys — with the shared client and staff lounge a particular highlight.
