2 degrees

Kada worked closely with the design team at Warren and Mahoney to make the core concepts a reality for the 2 degrees’ new head office. Situated in the new building at 136 Fanshaw street in Auckland CBD, this new fit-out is full of character, enormous scale and an unbelievable first impression.

The chosen furniture combines international brands like Artek, Vitra and Steelcase and locally made tables and leaners, designed in collaboration with Daniel from Warren & Mahoney. The Artek 64 stools design complements the architectural timber battening of the 2 Degrees lobby area. The minimalistic design of Vitra Bistro tables anchors the more loud and colourful breakout spaces. In comparison, the locally designed leaners include large red industrial castors to encourage movement and emphasise the playful nature of the collaborative spaces.

Together with 2 degrees and Warren and Mahoney, we worked on the best office chair solution to meet the wide range of staff needs. The Series 1 chair by Steelcase delivered ergonomics, quality, and choice and included the ability to be utilised as an ergonomic stool. It also provided a consistent look and feel throughout the whole fit-out and didn’t detract from the design elements introduced by Warren and Mahoney. The intuitive nature of the chair makes it the perfect all-around ergonomic option for focus, task or collaborative work environments.

Kada worked tirelessly and delivered a wide range of furniture from a combination of leading international suppliers and locally made and designed furniture. In addition, a high contribution of the furniture was Greenguard Gold compliant helping to contribute to 2 degrees being New Zealand’s first fit-out to achieve WELL Certification at Platinum level under the WELL Building Standard V2 (WELL v2).

All the furniture pieces complement the artistic design implemented by the team from Warren & Mahoney. Together with 2 degrees we created a head office they can be genuinely proud to call their own.
