Kada Closure Period: December 23rd, 2024 – January 12, 2025.
A new and dynamic environment was created for an Auckland Tech company, to encourage people back into the office. The 700m2 space is made up of a co-working space, without fixed desk locations, open plan areas and more formal bookable meeting rooms.
Following the pandemic and a shift in people preferring to work from home, Kada collaborated with the Spaceworks design team to create an office where people would want to come in and collaborate in an exciting work environment.
The company’s multi-colored brand allowed for a variety of colours to be used throughout the office space. Kada designed a bright blue custom-built mobile seating area with storage to complement the office’s colour scheme and encourage a dynamic movable meeting space.
When reintroducing people to the office, one of the main goals was to ensure that there was enough space to work in an open-plan setting while also providing privacy for work calls and a place to focus. Numerous Bosselino Phone Booths were strategically placed throughout the office, serving as mini offices that provided exceptional comfort and utility through thoughtful design. These acoustic pods were the ideal solution for providing employees with a place to retreat for creativity and communication.
The concept of a co-working space with no assigned desks was implemented. The idea was to give people the freedom to work where they wanted, with whom they needed to work, and in locations they thought were best for their jobs. Kada designed custom Lalit workstations to meet the needs of nomadic workers by balancing individual focused work with quick interactions with co-workers.
Grado Bread sofas were placed in informal meeting rooms to encourage casual conversation. They were an excellent addition to the space, providing a comfortable and elegant setting in which to catch up with others.
Kada worked tirelessly to deliver a diverse range of furniture from leading international suppliers as well as locally made and designed furniture. All the furniture pieces complement the artistic design implemented by the Spaceworks team, resulting in a collaborative and dynamic environment that this Auckland Tech company can call their own .
