Kakapo’s ‘Green House’ project was a dynamic office fit-out for a boutique business brokerage of 12–14 team members. The goal was to create a modern, industrial-inspired workspace that seamlessly integrated greenery—an essential part of Kakapo’s brand identity—while balancing collaboration and quiet spaces.

Spanning 220m², the office was designed to accommodate up to 10 salespeople at any given time. Kada was the natural choice for the project, having been highly recommended through multiple referrals. Quality was a priority, and while office fit-outs can be costly, the philosophy of “do it once and do it properly” ensured a long-lasting, well-considered result.

To support Kakapo’s diverse needs, the Kada team curated a selection of high-quality furniture and developed a layout that maximised space while allowing for future expansion, integrating a Framery One Compact—acoustic pod, which provides a private, soundproof space for focused work and confidential conversations, significantly enhancing productivity in the open-plan setting. This addition has since become invaluable to the team. Another standout feature was the seating, with Steelcase Leap Chairs, known for their ergonomic design, adjustable features, and exceptional lumbar support. These chairs proved to be a game-changer in both comfort and ergonomics.

Kada also provided high-quality meeting tables, and versatile storage solutions, seamlessly blending functionality with aesthetics. Soft seating in collaborative areas encouraged dynamic teamwork, while acoustic panels helped create a balanced and comfortable working environment.

The transformation has given the team a major morale boost, exceeding expectations in both function and aesthetics. The office is now a stylish, productive space that supports growth and embodies Kakapo’s brand, making it a resounding success.
