HAL Soft’s padded upholstery provides exceptional comfort, with rounded contours that soften the appearance of the distinctive HAL shell. The wooden base adds to the warm and casual feel of HAL Soft Wood. The fabric cover is removable and replaceable as needed.
‘Special is generally less useful than normal’: this statement sums up Jasper Morrison’s guiding principle for creating designs that are ‘super normal’ rather than extraordinary, showing deference to the dictates of daily life – just like HAL. As a reinterpretation of the multifunctional shell chair, HAL comprises a versatile seating family with a clean contemporary look. The shape of the seat shell provides great freedom of movement in a variety of sitting positions – even sideways or astride the chair.
Available in Dumet, Plano, Laser RE, Volo and Credo.
Base in Dark Solid Oak or Natural Oak Finish.
The base is coated with a protective varnish.
Seat shell: glass-fiber reinforced polyamide.
Polyurethane foam padding, replaceable

Base: non-stackable wooden base in natural
or dark oak.
Seat shell and base connection: die-cast aluminum, powder-coated finish.
Glides: colour matched to the small attachment parts for the seat shell, choice of white (except HAL Wood and HAL Ply Wood) or basic dark. All bases fitted with glides for carpet; felt glides optionally available for hard floors.
