The HAL Stool High is a classic bar stool with a four-legged base at a standard height. Jasper Morrison developed it for the HAL family of chairs, which also includes other bar stool versions.
‘Special is generally less useful than normal’: this statement sums up Jasper Morrison’s guiding principle for creating designs that are ‘super normal’ rather than extraordinary, showing deference to the dictates of daily life – just like HAL. As a reinterpretation of the multifunctional shell chair, HAL comprises a versatile seating family with a clean contemporary look. The shape of the seat shell provides great freedom of movement in a variety of sitting positions – even sideways or astride the chair.
Seat shell: white, ice grey, ivy, basic dark, chocolate, brick, orange, warm grey.
Base: chrome.

Seat shell: dyed-through polypropylene.
Base: chrome-plated tubular steel with anti-skid footrest, non-stacking
Glides: colour matched to the small attachment parts for the seat shell. All bases fitted with glides for carpet; felt glides optionally available for hard floors.
