HAL Armchair Wood by Jasper Morrison has a distinctive design, which combines a curved plastic shell with the contrasting linearity of a robust four-legged wooden base. The shell construction with integrated armrests responds to the physical forces operating on the seat and provides maximum stability and superb comfort with a minimum amount of material.
‘Special is generally less useful than normal’: this statement sums up Jasper Morrison’s guiding principle for creating designs that are ‘super normal’ rather than extraordinary, showing deference to the dictates of daily life – just like HAL. As a reinterpretation of the multifunctional shell chair, HAL comprises a versatile seating family with a clean contemporary look.
Available in basic dark, white, ivy, orange and ice grey.
Base in natural oak.
