Kada collaborated closely with the Jasmax design team to help Meredith Connell create New Zealand’s first WELL Pre-Certified workplace – a one-of-a-kind space complete with its own living terrarium.

Meredith Connell’s (MC’s) new 230-person workspace, located on the top two levels of the MC Centre on Auckland City’s Fanshawe Street, provides an unparalleled environment that exemplifies the firm’s unique, forward-thinking approach to accommodating a growing number of staff and attracting New Zealand’s best legal talent.

The brief was to design a workspace that defies all preconceived notions of what a law firm should look like and feel like; one that celebrates Aotearoa and connects people with in an open workplace. Melteca Lockers, made in New Zealand, were designed and distributed throughout the MC office, providing the workspace with flexible lockers that allow people to work from anywhere while incorporating custom artwork that complements the radical colour palette and contemporary Aotearoa.

The new MC workspace was designed to foster a sense of belonging and pride of place among employees, and it includes collaborative meeting rooms outfitted with Vitra Softshell Chairs. Our Softshell meeting room chairs delivered on the brief by providing flexibility, comfort, and quality, and instantly elevate the meeting room with their stylish look and feel.

To accommodate the growing number of employees, Framery One acoustic booths were strategically placed throughout the office, making the office phone booth ideal for quick ad hoc calls and standing work. These booths are not only stylish and functional, but they also solve noise and privacy issues in large offices, making it a happier and more productive place to work.

The Marina Workstations were an excellent addition to the MC office, as they are designed to meet the flexible culture of today’s work environments, providing multifunctional solutions to concentration and collaboration spaces while adding a touch of sophistication.

All the furniture pieces complement the artistic design created by the Jasmax team. Together with MC, we were able to deliver an unparalleled environment that exemplifies the firm’s unique, forward-thinking approach.
