For the refresh of their Wharfside Level 2 offices in Takutai Square, and as part of the wider redevelopment of their offices, Westpac New Zealand envisioned a space that would support agile and distributed working, with a strong focus on local design and sustainable manufacturing.

Working with Unispace, the new layout is designed to facilitate a mix of collaborative and focus work, along with more traditional meeting spaces. Framery O pods, positioned in key areas throughout the fit-out, deliver industry leading sound insulation technology and provide staff with a place to retreat to for important calls, video conferences and focused work. Compact and very comfortable, these pods are an efficient use of space, facilitating zones of quiet in an open-plan office.

Customised with an oceanic mural designed by a local artist, the Framery O’s are anchored to the surrounding landscape with Auckland’s harbour a stone’s throw away.

Westpac sought to use locally designed products wherever possible. Our Elevate workstations fit the bill and support the flexible work environment with their sit-to-stand capability. These workstations include under-desk cable management and USB charging and offer excellent ergonomics due to their effortless electric height adjustment.

In this considered, modern office space, staff can communicate with ease, with areas designed to promote a culture of collaboration and also facilitate those necessary moments of focus and quiet.
